Steven Bittenson

Steven Bittenson started consulting full-time in 1999, following fifteen years in technical and management positions in industries including lasers & optics, medical devices, microelectronic capital equipment, energy and environmental technologies. His consulting clients have included Fortune 500 companies in the capital equipment and medical device industries, NIST, and startup companies in several fields.

Taking a systems approach to his work, Steve has provided a wide range of services to clients, including contract Intellectual Property Liaison services, patent portfolio analysis, vendor / technology evaluation, interim Engineering VP, process modeling, specification & prototype equipment development, and experimental programs. As an intellectual property consultant, he emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of IP work, and the maintenance of smooth, efficient and positive dynamics among inventors, management and patent counsel.

Steve holds a Ph.D. in chemical physics, a BS in chemistry, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Agent. His academic research centered about chemical and molecular dynamics, lasers, spectroscopy, and isotope separation.
